Wine data projects
Independent projects built over several years around wine pricing, review language, and analytical interpretation.
SAQ retail price changes over time
Vinflation tracks SAQ retail price changes through longitudinal snapshots of the product catalogue. The work is meant to make price movement visible over time without turning a changing market into a premature story.
The current snapshot set covers September 2024, June 2025, March 2026, and August 2026. The August 2026 snapshot is currently being collected.

WRITE — Wine Review Insight Trust Engine
WRITE uses structured psycholinguistic analysis to profile reviewers based on the language they consistently use when describing wine.
The core question is simple: how should I interpret this review, knowing how this reviewer typically describes wine?
In this context, trust does not mean deciding whether a reviewer is truthful. It means using the reviewer's established language profile to interpret how much weight or meaning to assign to their messaging.
WRAP — Wine Review Agency Profiler
WRAP translated related language-analysis work into a compact agency-facing scorecard and profile. It was a practical way to show how review language could be summarized at the import-agency level.
Printed WRAP artifacts were shared directly with wine agency owners at wine events and led to some conversations. They were exploratory artifacts, not evidence of commercial adoption or client work.
Future artifact area: printed WRAP scorecard or agency profile examples.

WRITE profiles the reviewer. WRAP profiles the agency. Vinflation profiles the market.
These are independent projects rather than client engagements. I built them out of a longstanding interest in wine and the same data and language problems I work on professionally.
